Cube Speaker Competition

This is a really potent companion. I use it for body-busying other people's iPods, speakerphone for conference call (survived my first three-way, phew!), and salon visits.

Answer this question: from which season and of what design house Roisin Murphy wore on the cover of her fabulous single "Overpowered"?

Commanhole is giving ONE of these cubes for free!

Email answer to news@commanhole.com. The first correct entry wins!

This Will Make Everyone Happy!

Still the best band ever. I don't regret the moment I shouted 'GIRL POWER' almost everyday in Junior High.

Boys and girls feel good togetha.

Lil' Bloggers (Like Lil' Rock at Hard Rock Hotel, No?)

So I have this cousin right, the name's Sabrina and we've been bonding since she started talking, played computer games, went snorkling together, saw a concert, the whole thing. She goes to Highscope (I think she's 11 now, or 12) and mmmaybe she talks to her friends about the things we do together (I did put the 'mmmaybe' part Bin, so don't fuzz it awright?).

One day, her friend tagged me in a note or a comment or somethin on Facebook. Her name is Tiara, she was actually saying something to Mael (another cousin of mine, and when you go about this crowd, I personally think First Name Base is tres important), and there's a blog address and I let out a little 'whoa'.

Let me tell you it contains eeeverything a girl her age would say about, and get this, BEYOND! The name's pretty cool, too. So I wagged around sunblocksplatter.blogpost.com and began to be really jiggly with what's inside (I gotta give two ups for the rapid updates there, kiddo. I'm ashamed of my own blogging pace), and I even found really useful posts! Like the recent bedroom zoning, and the lists of things I didn't know before. The violin trio in Titanic? Real stuff!

Go waggle around her blog, although I'm not sure whether or not she's old enough to waggle around here, but let's leave it to the parents shall we? See what they can do.

Meanwhile, I'm looking for ways to promote stuff with Sunblock Splatter. Mmmaybe with a little help from our friend, T-Lab.

Kids these days, including us, are so much a-blazing.

Under Maintenance

Hey all,

This is to report that my domain name and the site map and all the uploaded files are being maintained. This should take up to a week, and I'm also enhancing Fashion Commanhole as it is coming real soon!

Hang tight!

Lolita

Dumb that I thought the quote I deliberately use for Commanhole's fashion sister (coming soon, fashion.commanhole.com) is from a Fiona Apple song.

"Do you think I'm sexy, do you think I really care?"

The notebook smells like 2004, really. It feels too long.
The doodle is a hand-written copy of "Virgin State of Mind" lyric, with a little bit of spice, of course.

It is a line from K's Choice's "Virgin State of Mind". Back in Napster era, I was beginning to enter Apple's fan base, and a careless search got me to download the song mistakenly. They do sound alike: the instruments, the lyrics, the hushes and the spite.

Years later, I found out the true origins of the song and seek forgiveness. Now, after building and launching Fashion Commanhole (which encountered me with a doodle from the above song, dating back to October 2005), I found another connection of it to a book and then a movie. Bizarre, bizarre, and googling really helps.

"Lolita" is a book written by Vladimir Nobokov, turned alive in 1962 by Stanley Kubrick (talk about scarcity), and born as a remake in 1997 by Adrian Lyne (Indecent Proposal, Flashdance) I am so inclined to read the book and watch the movie but the distance is as far as me and amazon.com. Both are available there.

Here is a video of both the song and clips from the movie, which bares what's it all about. See if you like it.

NOTE THAT THE SONG IS NOT A SOUNDTRACK TO THE MOVIE.
Would be cool if it was, though.

Please contact me at news@commanhole.com if you have a copy. Xoxo.
